Study Skills Workshops
Our Study Skills Workshops are designed to support school transitions and ensure students are successful in the navigation of essential academic skills. We provide students with strategies, tools and other methodologies to tackle various subjects. These workshops will provide students with systematic approaches that can be applied during the school year and throughout their academic journey.
Students may sign up for one workshop or try out a few!

Note: Each workshop is offered once a month
Day 1 (Saturday)
Research Skills (10:00-11:30)
Critical Reading (1:00- 2:30 pm)
Critical Writing (2:30 - 4:00 pm)
Day 2 (Sunday)
How to Math (1:00 - 2:30 pm)
Time Management (2:30-4:00 pm)
Price: $125 per session
Maximum Enrollment: six (6) students per class.
How to Math Workshop
The How To Math Workshop teaches students how to study math effectively. In this workshop, students will learn the Simsology study method. Students are taught to identify their gaps through specific checkpoints, to ask good questions and to develop study habits that will ultimately help them learn the material more efficiently.

Time Management Workshop
The Time Management Workshop will teach students various techniques to prioritize tasks and events, overcome procrastination, organize materials and develop weekly schedules.
Critical Writing Workshop
Our Critical Writing Workshop is designed to help students with the writing process: researching, outlining, writing and revising.
Research Skills Workshop
The Research Skills Workshop gives students a deep dive into all stages of the research process, starting with selecting a topic, understanding different types of materials, and collecting information effectively.
Critical Reading Workshop
The Critical Reading Workshop is focused on maximizing student understanding during the reading process. Students will develop text-coding strategies on comprehension and speed strategies while reading materials from across multiple disciplines.
