Writing Centers are available to Middle and High School students and provide an environment in which students can focus on writing assignments while receiving help and guidance from an instructor. Students will be supported at any stage of their writing process: brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising. Our instructors offer valuable suggestions, feedback, advice, and strategies of approaching various types of writing assignments.
Classes are limited to six students.
Writing Center Guidelines:
- Arrive at the Writing Center during one of our available time slots with a writing assignment as well as any work you've done so far
- Plan to work on only one paper per session
- Bring questions about your work and an idea of what you want to work on with an instructor
- Come with a willingness to work (We can't write your paper for you, but we can give suggestions, strategies, and tips for improving your work!)
Please note: AP Writing Center sessions are currently not available. We offer support in these classes through private tutoring services. If you are looking for help in an AP Writing class, please contact our Tutoring Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org
